Codan SprintChat is an HF radio messaging application designed for reliable peer-to-peer text communication, email and file transfer over Codan HF networks. Using 3G ALE waveforms, it provides fast and flexible data communications through a familiar interface that reduces operator training requirements.

SprintChat supports automatic image resizing, POP3 email clients and optional AES-256 encryption for protected on-air links. When a suitably equipped SprintNet station is included in the network, users can also exchange internet email and SMS messages. The software extends HF radio networks with resilient data communications for defense, emergency response, remote operations and missions where conventional communications infrastructure is limited or unavailable.
