Inertial Labs, a VIAVI Solutions company and our valued partner, has announced the launch of IRINS, a next-generation navigation system designed to provide reliable Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) data in environments where GNSS signals are unavailable, degraded or intentionally disrupted.
Developed for land, airborne and maritime applications, IRINS combines advanced inertial navigation technology with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) signal support to ensure continuous and accurate navigation in challenging operational conditions. The system is engineered to maintain dependable performance even in the presence of GNSS jamming, spoofing or signal blockage.
In addition to its high-performance inertial navigation capabilities, IRINS integrates altitude and heading reference functions, delivering stable navigation data for mission-critical operations. Housed in a rugged enclosure that meets military environmental standards, the system is well suited for defense platforms, autonomous systems and other demanding applications requiring resilient navigation.
