As an official partner and distributor of DTC (Codan Communications) solutions, General Guidance is pleased to present the new BluTrak-90-D Autonomous Tracking Antenna — an advanced antenna system designed for autonomous real-time tracking of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
As modern drone operations continue to expand toward longer-range and more demanding missions, maintaining a stable and reliable communication link becomes increasingly critical. The BluTrak-90-D has been developed to ensure continuous high-performance connectivity with UAV platforms, without the need for external control systems or operator-assisted antenna alignment.
Unlike conventional fixed antennas, which require manual positioning and often struggle to maintain connectivity during drone movement, the BluTrak-90-D autonomously follows the UAV in real time. The system integrates an onboard microprocessor with embedded tracking algorithms that continuously monitor and track drone movement automatically, significantly simplifying field deployment and operation.
Smarter Tracking and Fast Deployment

The BluTrak-90-D is designed as a fully self-contained solution, enabling rapid deployment while reducing the risk of human error during antenna setup and alignment. The system supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) across a wide voltage range and can process NMEA position data from multiple sources beyond GPS, ensuring reliable performance even in GNSS-denied environments.
Built for demanding operational conditions, the antenna is housed in a rugged IP67-rated enclosure and supplied with a high-gain directional antenna, tripod, and cable drum. The high-gain antenna architecture delivers improved signal strength, extended operational range, and enhanced signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to traditional fixed antenna systems.
Its highly directional beam enables increased data throughput and stable communication links while also helping reduce the probability of signal interception and detection.
The BluTrak-90-D is particularly suited for:
Long-range ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) operations
BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) commercial drone missions
Broadcast production and live sports event coverage
Critical infrastructure monitoring and security operations
Tactical and defense communication applications
By combining autonomous tracking capabilities, reliable high-performance connectivity, and rapid deployment, the BluTrak-90-D represents a cost-effective and highly capable alternative to conventional antenna tracking systems.
